After an excursion to the battlefields of the First and Second World War, the Battlefield series returns to a more familiar setting for many fans of the series. In Battlefield 2042, you will go into the thick of battles in the near future, where humanity is fighting for resources in different parts of the world.
TOTAL WAR
After the global energy crisis and natural disasters of 2040, the geopolitical alignment changed dramatically – many states simply disappeared from the face of the Earth, and the United States and Russia began to compete fiercely in different parts of the world. The leading powers hire PMCs from the so-called "no-pats" who are ready to perform any task. Large–scale battles will unfold on the largest Battlefield maps in history - in the middle of the dangerous Land of Queen Maud in Antarctica, at the Songdo skyscrapers in South Korea, at the stadium in Qatar's Doha covered with sand. In total, seven major locations will be available at the start.
THE FRONT LINE
Players will face real challenges in the dangerous world of Battlefield 2042. You will have to fight with enemy fighters, participate in tank battles and contribute to the battles of infantry squads. Survival will require not only dodging enemy shells – the developers have introduced dynamic events and full-fledged natural disasters. Few people will want to come face to face with a sandstorm or a tornado. Battles on new generation consoles and personal computers include up to 128 players, while on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One they will be limited to 64 participants.
HONOR BOARD
Instead of traditional classes, the developers have introduced specialists – special fighters with their gadgets and ways of interacting with the team will be available to you, and the list will gradually expand. For example, you can fight on behalf of the experienced healer Maria Falk, relying on the drones of Vikus van Dale or the turret lover Peter "Boris" Guskovsky. Battlefield 2042 also features a variety of modes that will appeal to veterans and newcomers of the series – from the classic "Capture" and "Breakthrough" to the mysterious "Danger Zone".
