The Callisto Protocol [Xbox One, Russian version]

The Callisto Protocol is a horror created by the Striking Distance studio, headed by Glen Schofield, who previously gave the world the notorious Dead Space horror series. In December 2022, the game will go to conquer the hearts of PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC owners. Schofield came up with the concept of the project back in 2019, after he left the Sledgehammer Games team. A little later, the Korean company Krafton became interested in the project.

Initially, The Callisto Protocol was supposed to become part of the universe of the popular network shooter PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, which is overseen by publisher KRAFTON Inc. However, as time passed, the developers decided to disown direct communication with the famous royal battle. Probably, the symbiosis of the two projects imposed certain plot and gameplay restrictions on the creators of horror.

The action of The Callisto Protocol will unfold in the year 2320 on the satellite of Jupiter called Callisto. The main character seeks to escape from the prison colony "Black Iron", which is controlled by the United Jupiter Company. The protagonist Jacob Lee is not a prisoner. He is the pilot of a cargo ship whose ship, by the will of evil fate, crashed on Callisto. From an ordinary prison, the colony has turned into a real branch of hell, where hordes of bloodthirsty mutants, called biophages, live.

In terms of gameplay, The Callisto Protocol combines action and classic horror elements. Jacob fights off opponents with all kinds of weapons, and also uses a special GRP device in battles. Thanks to him, the hero attracts objects and enemies by controlling gravity. This opens up a huge space for players to be creative. Opponents can be pelted with objects, scattered and hit against walls.

The level of cruelty of the game is not inferior to its spiritual mastermind Dead Space, because Jacob is just a man. Not only mutants, but also security robots are waiting for him in the walls of the prison. Meeting with them is fraught with huge problems for the hero, since they are many times superior to him in terms of combat power and armor. How to survive in such conditions?
